Although my services are not covered by OHIP, many extended health insurance plans cover both Naturopathic and Osteopathic visits. Ask your plan administrator for details.
First VisitIntake, Assessment & Treatment
During the intake, we discuss your present health concerns. I listen to your story to determine the underlying factors contributing to your symptoms. During the assessment, I use my eyes to observe and my hands to palpate your body to sense areas of imbalance. I listen to your body’s story to determine the primary area in need of treatment. Once this is determined, I use my hands to restore proper movement and function to the body. My goal is for you to leave my office feeling more balanced and centered, with less pain.
Second VisitReassessment & Treatment
This visit occurs 2-3 weeks after the first visit. We reassess your health concerns, check in on how you’re feeling, and discuss any new concerns. When indicated, you will be given an individualized treatment plan consisting of lifestyle and nutritional recommendations (a combination of herbs, supplements, and homeopathy) which we will discuss in full detail. If you are currently working with a naturopath, I will give you some information to pass along to them regarding my findings.
Follow-Up VisitsIntegrated Treatment
Visits initially occur every 2-4 weeks until you are feeling better. During this time, I monitor the effectiveness of previous treatments, offer alternate prescriptions, and continue with osteopathy treatments. Visits are more frequent in the beginning and less frequent as you start to feel better and learn how to manage your health. Maintenance and preventive visits vary from person to person. I see some people once a month and others once per season.
